About Me

About Me

I am a systemic family therapist who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. My training in systemic therapy enables me to work with individuals, couples and families of all shapes and sizes who are struggling with some aspects of their lives.

I work with people in a comfortable, confidential environment to look at how to introduce change.

Many people come to see me with a form of depression. Some may have lived with this for a long time and are looking for a way to improve their lives apart from using medication or in conjunction with it.

I see couples who come with a variety of different problems, wanting to find a way to talk about them. My clients have also included people who have been bereaved, losing a parent, partner or child and those suffering loss through separation, divorce, redundancy or illness.

I welcome children of any age. When primary school children are involved I usually work with another therapist.

Very often people have untapped sources of resilience and my aim is to find out together with them how they can utilise their strengths.

During Covid 19

At present, I am working over Zoom or Skype. This works extremely well. While some people are initially unsure about this, most have found it very convenient and have become accustomed to it very quickly. Due to the situation, I am accepting work with families whose children are 11 and above.
